He served on the Board of Directors for the Greater Nashville Realtors Association and held several notable roles, including 2014 Young Professionals Network (YPN) Chair and member of the YPN advisory council. At the state level, he contributed to the TN Association of Realtors through his work on the convention committee and as the 2014 TAR Sergeant at Arms, reflecting his commitment to advancing the profession beyond the local market.

A Nashville native and graduate of the University of Alabama, John shares life with his wife, Rachael Deen Clayton, and their children, Ellis and Mattie.
